Leanne Masellis
Hey there! I’m Leanne, owner of Dynamic Downsizers. I was born and raised in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan “Go Riders!” I’ve always had a strong connection to open land. Some of my fondest summers were in rural, southern Saskatchewan with my grandmother in the garden or detailing my grandfather's tractor in hopes I’d get the early wake-up call for harvest. For those who know me, I am and always will be a morning person.
At the young age of 18, scholarship money from a competitive dance career led me to Toronto which is where I met my now entrepreneurial husband and became a mom to three outstanding human beings. As we settled down and created deep ties to our community and extended family, my focus became creating a life that allowed me the freedom of a flexible schedule. This enabled me to attend my kid's Tae Kwon Do lessons, dance competitions, hockey practices, and assist with my aging parents and inlaws.
In 2016, armed with a strong passion for helping people, a love of project management, and 25+ years of business experience I started Dynamic Downsizers. As founder, I aim to provide a calming experience for overwhelmed seniors and their families considering a move. I aim to support individuals through estate decluttering, who physically and emotionally don’t know where to begin.
Over the past decade, I’ve had the privilege of downsizing hundreds of seniors and easing the minds of their families through the process. I’ve been recognized on Zoomer Radio, “Decluttering for Downsizing”, and “The Emotional and Physical Challenges to Downsizing”. I’ve had the privilege of speaking at numerous senior events throughout the GTA. Our work has been published in Our Homes Magazine - ”Hilltop Hideaway '', “London Calling”, “People and Places”. I was ecstatic to be included in decorating the Global News set, and honoured to have my home featured on Breakfast Television’s “Home for the Holidays”.
Throughout the years I have realized that, just like raising a family, caring for our seniors takes a village. This is why I strive to continuously build a community of kind, like-minded team members and business partners who are invested in supporting seniors. Success to me is watching our client’s eyes light up as they enter their new home fully set up and styled; a fresh start to their next chapter.
